Position: HR Learning and Development (L&D) Coordinator

Reports to: Sr. Manager L&D

Location: Kanab

FLSA status: Exempt

Position Summary:

Best Friends is recruiting for a Learning and Development Coordinator to coordinate our trainings for staff, track attendance and assist with training needs assessment. We are looking for a people-oriented person who is proficient with spreadsheets, setting up Go-to-Meetings/Trainings, and being the on-site liaison for our staff and leadership development

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates registration of participation in the various tracks offered to managers and staff.
  • Maintains a database to track and deliver summary reports on training activity and participation.
  • Researches and identifies all training and formal coaching currently being conducted across the organization and maintains a central database of all training organization wide (such as IT, animal care, etc).
  • Meet with departments to assess with on-going training needs.
  • Maintains updated curriculum database and description of content.
  • Coordinates and prepares the training location for on-site training.
  • Sets up hosting for remote webinar participation of meetings (such as GTT, or GTM)
  • Gathers feedback from participants after each educational session
  • Sets up subject-matter-expert facilitation as needed, including coordinating travel arrangements for on-site facilitators
  • Provides admin support to HR Director and Sr. Manager of L&D as needed.
  • Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff, modeling collaborative team behavior.Acts as on-site point person for logistics, communications, etc.
  • Point of contact for internal communications, i.e., distribute the list of learning for weekly BF Digest, etc.
  • Understands and supports L&D technology needs including GTT, setting up projection systems, PowerPoint, updating SharePoint, managing GTT, etc.
  • Updates training attendance lists to a central location, including EFL, GTT, in-person trainings
  • Ensures in training rooms are set-up and tore down, as needed.
  • Manages online training calendar
  • Make copies of F2F training, as needed.
  • Distribute/post posters of upcoming training
  • Field questions/calls on training logistics
  • For outside guest speakers/trainers, manages logistics.

Position Requirements:

  • Work experience as an HR or Training Coordinator preferred
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events
  • Strong proficiency in web delivery tools (i.e., Go-To-Training)
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems preferred but not required
  • MS Office proficiency,
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
